In Case You Missed it: Cross Country Teams Excel Despite Difficult Weather Conditions

Neither rain, nor torrential downpours, nor muddy hills or any other obstacle can stop the Eagles runners from achieving their goal to run for the glory of God! The PCA Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams ran another strong race at the Nike/Holly/Duane Ruffin Invitational in Davison, Michigan, on Saturday. Sienna Ruiter medaled for the Eagles, placing fourth overall in Division V, running 20:36. Eva Warmbier had a personal best 24:45 and finished 36th overall. Jordan Reed also had a personal best at 29:04, closing out the last 200 meters uphill with a strong finish.

The Men’s team battled in a rain soaked course to place 3rd among 24 Division 5 schools. Four runners earning medals: Aaron Vicars again had a strong performance, finishing 3rd overall with a time of 18:04. Seth Windle finished 6th (18:13), Quinn McLaren 19th (19:14) and Ian Hay 21st (19:22). Caleb Godin earned important position points while posting a personal record(23:55) and Kyle Sedgewick (26:46) rounded out a solid performance by the Eagles.

The Eagles’ have two races this coming week: Tuesday they will be at the Oakland Christian Small School Invite and Saturday they will be at Sterling State Park in Monroe, Michigan, at the Jefferson Invite.
