Sophomore Sienna Ruiter capped an amazing cross country season by medaling at the State Cross Country championship held at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday, November 5th. Ruiter ran 20:13.8 and finished 24th. The Top 30 finishers at the State meet are considered “All-State.” The two other State qualifiers, freshman Danae Moriarty (21:42) and freshman Eva Warmbier (23:04.6), also ran well for the Eagles, finishing 82nd and 153rd respectively in a field of 237 runners.
Sophomore Aaron Vicars ran an impressive race, narrowly missing All-State honors by finishing 32nd overall with a time of 17:13.4. Junior Seth Windle (49th, 17:30.7), sophomore Quinn McLaren (125th, 18:29.4), senior Ian Hay (159th, 19:04.6), sophomore Caleb Godin (214th, 20:18.9), freshman Eric Moore (238th, 22:08.4) and sophomore Aaron Geisler (241st, 23:26.4) rounded out the scoring for the Eagles, who completed the season ranked 17th in the state for Division 4.
