Ella Godin drove in five on three hits to lead the Plymouth Christian Academy Varsity Softball Team past Macomb Christian 26-2 on Thursday. Godin drove in runs on a single in the first, a walk in the first, a single in the second, and a walk in the third.
The Eagles scored 13 runs in the third inning. The ladies scored on a triple by Kara Brackney, a single by Izzy Mossel, a double by Jenny Anderson, a single by Ava Limon, a walk by Elizabeth Manning, a groundout by Lydia Sikes, a walk by Ella Godin, a single by Magalie Chapman, and a double by Anderson.
Anderson earned the win for the PCA Eagles. She went one inning, giving up zero runs, zero hits, striking out one, and walking zero. Two relievers helped the Eagles close out the victory. Mossel threw one inning. Harrington took the loss for Macomb Christian. She threw two innings, surrendering 16 runs, 11 hits, and striking out one.
There were a total of 20 hits in the game. Anderson, Mossel, Chapman, Godin, Limon, and Brackney each collected multiple hits for PCA. Chapman, Mossel, and Anderson each collected four hits to lead the team. Way to go ladies!
