A beautiful day on Saturday, September 9th at the Bath Invitational! Both women’s and men’s varsity competed at the Bret Clements Bath Invite. Junior Luke Pohl led the field from start to finish, finishing first overall and setting a new school record. His time of 16:26 broke the previous record set by teammate Seth Windle by two seconds. Windle had an excellent day, finishing 9th overall. Also earning a top 30 medal was senior Hunter Torolski who came in 22nd overall. Freshman Nathan Sutrick had a personal best time of 20:22, and Caleb Godin also finished strong with a time of 20:27. The team finished 6th out of 13 teams.
On the women’s side, Sienna Ruiter continued her strong performance finishing 16th overall with a time of 21:16 earning a medal for the Lady Eagles. Freshman Nicole Reinhart and Emily Cameron had a personal best times of 22:39 and 23:03 respectively. Also running well for the Eagles was Eva Warmbier (27:22), Joy Chamberlain (26:16), Sarah Reinhart (27:18), Isabel Mossel (27:22) and Ella Godin (28:56). The women’s team finished 8th out of 13 teams.
The Eagles will be joined by the middle school cross country team next Saturday, September 15th, at the Holly Invitational.
