LIVONIA, MI (December 7, 2018) – Livonia Franklin got 14 points from Hannah Strasser and 13 from Erin Young as the Patriots stopped Plymouth Christian, 53-32 in a non-conference girls basketball game tonight.
Franklin used a patient inside-outside game to pull away in the second half. Franklin led 15-7 after the first quarter, but PCA’s Anna Fernandez had 16 points in the first two stanzas on four, 3-pointers. At the half, the Eagles were only down seven, 26-19.
But third quarter turnovers enabled the Patriots to increase their lead to 38-25. Franklin made their shots – from the three-point line and at the blocks. PCA played tough throughout, but never made a run and eventually fell 53-32.
The Eagles were led by Fernandez who finished with 20, Ariela Boboc with five, Sarah Fernandes who had three and Isabel Mossel and Ella Godin who had two each.
