The MIAC conference meet at Clarenceville in Livonia was long-awaited and highly anticipated. Clarenceville, Whitmore Lake, and Plymouth Christian went up against one another on the mat competing in 3 different rounds. Round 1, a technical round centering around difficult motions and use of a variety of movements or levels, Round 2, a skills round made to showcase tumbling, jumps, and flexibility and Round 3, a stunt-based round where strength and team coordination are key.
Eagles cheer bested both other teams with a total score of 618.5. Their round 3 score, 261.3, put them on the board at #4 in the State of Michigan top 10 scoring teams(division 4). Their overall score also earning them another spot in the top ten overall scores in the state. This victory comes to the team after a lot of hard work and dedication even in the midst of the trials of the world now.
Eagles cheer competes again next week on Thursday 2/25 at Southfield for MIAC #2 at 6:00 pm and Saturday 2/27 at Canton’s Invitational at 1:00 pm.
