Coed Varsity Track · Chapel Sets School Record in Shot Put

Lydia Chapel broke the school record in Women’s Shot Put, held by Martha Rojek since 2003. Chapel threw 29’8″ at the Larry Steeb Invite, held at Dexter High School on Tuesday, May 30th. It was the last meet of the season as well as what ended being her last throw of her high school career. LydiaThe previous record was 29’6″.

“It was a long time coming for Lydia,” said coach Rod Windle. “I knew she had the ability to break the record. I am very happy for her.”

It was a great way to close out her senior athletic career. Congratulations Lydia!
